A working directory of the broadcast networks, streaming platforms, publishers, PR agencies, market-research firms and branding/IP consultancies that shape what the world watches, reads, trusts and believes — and the AI-native platforms now generating, measuring, protecting and discovering media and brands outright. NEW · THE CAPITAL SHIFT

AI isn't just distributing media anymore. It's generating, measuring, and discovering it.

Through 2025 and into 2026, AI moved from the edges of the media stack to its core. OpenAI's Sora and Runway pushed text-to-video from novelty to production-grade tooling, unsettling assumptions about who makes film and television content and at what cost. Perplexity and other AI answer engines began routing readers around traditional publisher homepages entirely, forcing outlets from The New York Times to Condé Nast into new licensing and traffic-defense strategies. ElevenLabs made synthetic voice and audio production-ready at scale, reshaping podcasting, dubbing, and audiobooks. Meanwhile Nielsen, long the industry's audience-measurement backbone, has spent this window rebuilding its methodology around fragmented streaming behaviour that legacy panels were never designed to capture.

For PR and communications firms, the shift is existential in a different way: brand reputation now has to be managed inside AI-generated search summaries and chatbot answers, not just search rankings and press coverage — a discipline none of the legacy agency networks were built for. The branding and IP layer is facing its own version of the same pressure: generative tools can now produce logo concepts, naming shortlists, and full identity systems in minutes, pushing consultancies like Interbrand and Pentagram to reposition around strategy and judgment rather than production, while trademark-intelligence platforms such as Clarivate and brand-valuation firms like Brand Finance are racing to keep clearance search and IP valuation ahead of AI-generated brand assets flooding filing offices. Together, these threads are why Media & Branding closes out Capital Trust Group's institutional map: the same AI-capital pattern tracked across accounting, law, consulting, and HR is now reshaping who makes — and who owns — the media and brands those professions read about.

This is v1 — and the final division. It covers the major broadcast and traditional media conglomerates, the leading streaming and OTT platforms, the largest publishers and digital media groups, the top global PR and communications agencies, the primary market-research and audience-measurement firms, the leading branding, design and IP/trademark-intelligence firms, and the AI-native platforms now generating, measuring and discovering media. It does not yet include regional broadcasters, boutique PR shops, boutique branding studios, or the long tail of niche publishers — the natural next layer once a CSV is appended.
